Here at Ellipsis Aesthetics we offer targeted fat dissolving injections using AQUALYX to treat localised pockets of stubborn fat. These fat dissolving injections can be used on the face and body.
This treatment uses a naturally occurring substance called deoxycholic acid which is produced by our digestive tract to break down fat in our food. Aqualyx is injected directly into the fatty deposits, breaking them down over time. The fat is then naturally dissolved and flushed out by the body via the lymphatic system. This treatment is minimally invasive in comparison to surgical alternatives and results are consistently quick and effective.
PROCEDURE
You will have a consultation prior to treatment which will include taking a comprehensive medical history and obtaining informed consent. A treatment plan will be devised based on our medical analysis and evaluation of your personal expectations. This will be carried out by an experienced registered medical practitioner.
During each treatment session multiple small injections are inserted in the subcutaneous fat of the areas to be treated. Each treatment session lasts around 15 minutes. You will need a month between further sessions.

RESULTS
It can take four to six weeks to see any noticeable changes. Dependent on the areas treated we recommend between two and four treatments for best results.
AFTERCARE
Do not touch, rub or apply makeup to the treated areas for 12 hours. Avoid exercise for 48 hours and direct sun exposure and heat for 72 hours.
